I think this song is about love, and also the desire for human connection. The person she cares about doesn't know about her feelings, but she's okay with that because she's confident that even if they don't return her sentiments that she'll be alright.
Then she talks about how people are all trying to find that connection around every corner, but they're caught up in their lives so they are unable to find it often times.
