Regarding the lyrics, i think the returner/redeemer is a personification of the character lucifer, as he is seen in modern gnostic luciferianism (this is probably not the officaly claimed term, but anyway).
If you bring in A. Crowley, "Plant Toxic Bombs In Marble Tombs" could refer to occult knowledge he found in egyptian mythology, to "Crack My Fathers' Spines, And Sail Me To A Chimera" (defy the laws of common order, god, and to bring him to the great dragon)
