I can't tell exactely what this song is about... I do know it's quite visual to me, especially: "So the man took a shotgun out of the trunk, waited on the hood with the headlights on, radio was playing christmas songs". This line gives me a very strong image and the overal feel of the song is almost melancholic. Something has happened to this person, but you don't know exactely what and why. Maybe the mantra of "forget what you don't know yet" means this person feels paranoid, scared of the world without really having a valid reason, or maybe having a reason but it's a secret to the rest of the world.
