basically, i think the song is about how us american's take advantage of marriage. &' how much of a shame it is that this is one country where you can marry someone you love &' want to be with, but in other counrties marriages are arranged, women aren't happy, def. not in love &' they're husbands are fools &' we totally take advantage of how lucky we are.
in my opinion america is selfish &' our love's is based of lies &' good sex.. people over seas like india or china or places where marriage is arranged would DIE to marry someone they were actually in love with ..

and i agree with you there, Mac, people are more selfish here. this song hints at that a bit; american weddings are too cavalier. they don't last. the wedding is more important than the marriage itself.
