i really find it hilariously sad that people will always listen to obviously liberal bands without hearing what the lyrics are really saying and say that its their favorite band. but then they find out one thing about them they dont like and realize that they hate them. i had an extremely conservative christian friend whos favorite band was Rise Against until a couple of years ago when i told him that they are all mostly vegetarian, straight edge, and extremely liberal. then he decided he hated them after listening to them everyday of his life. same friend was supposed to hang out with me and another friend one day and when he called to see what we had planned, we told him that we were gonna just chill and play green day rock band. he said he might come over after we were done with that cuz he hates green day for "hating america".
so basically, before you decide you "love" a band/artist, do some fucking research and, more over, listen to what their fucking songs are about. the internet can be a beautiful tool if you use it correctly....
Haha yeah... I knew this clown who was a die-hard Bush supporter and absolutely hated Eminem for his song "Mosh", but was a HUGE fan of Rise Against and Green Day. He acted like a big music buff too, pretending to be all about the musical complexity as well as the lyrical-ness of his favorite bands...... well, apparently he didn't really listen to these lyrics lol... Siren Song is like his favorite album ever. He pretty much shit his pants over it for almost a year haha. Dumbass.

@JustinLWFA Meh... I love Against Me! and they're one of my favorite bands and I guess I'd have to be considered "conservative" or right-wing if I had to (though I'm more or less libertarian). I know they're "liberal" but I don't really care, everyone can have their own political opinion. I don't feel bad at all for listening to AM! and Laura writes great lyrics. On the other hand, I cannot listen to Rage Against the Machine anymore (loved them in junior high/high school); their politics and lyrics are fucking horrible and sound like they were written by a child.sd...
