I interpret a sentiment of infinite oneness, that we are all part of one eternal cycle. Trees are broken down to create plows, which in turn sow more trees. We breathe in "particles" (air, water, dust, etc.) so that we may breathe out "articles" (words, thoughts, etc.) Furthermore, our divisive minds see the apple as the prize of an apple tree. It is not an attached fixture of the tree, but rather another part of the tree's overall growth. And since the tree never "gained" an apple it can never "lose" one. Truly beautiful poetry...and so applicable to life!
