Agree completely with MRSMELOY! The only way to see and understand HAIR is to see the stage version, which reflects what the USA was going through in the 1960's. The original Broadway version was intense, the most recent Broadway version was true to the subject matter which covered a variety of topics including the war, pollution, racial prejudice, homosexuality, drugs, the draft. Monumental in my mind. I was drafted, brainwashed and went to Vietnam. When I got back, HAIR opened my eyes wide, wide, wide.
