I think the synth ending might be a way of showing how anything is possible in a lucid dream.... and how objects can be changed into anything. The possibilities are endless. Hence why it is unconventional for the song to change from a rocky song into an electronic one. I don't know if FF intended this, but it's how I interpret the song
