I really like this song. This song has such a haunting, echoing, hypnotic feeling to it....much do to Dino Valente's vocals. I think it perfectly represents the feeling and sound of the late 60's. Fresh air, California sunshine, summer in San Francisco and lots of drugs.
Admittedly, I'm only 25 and wasn't even thought of in 1968, but when I listen to this I can almost put myself in that era.
A couple of things here. A hit of fresh air was a double meaning referring to taking a hit on a joint. And a hit of California Sunshine was slang for taking a tab, AKA a hit, of a brand of LSD known as California Sunshine. Take it from someone who was actually there at the time.
