this is simple. my interpretation is a couple who has been with each other for a while who decides to go on a break. most times when couples decide to "go on a break" its usually a one-sided decision. kanye didnt want this break, but thats how it went down. during the period of the "break" he stayed loyal, waiting on her to figure her shit out so they could get back together. well she got with another guy instead.
