I'll give this song a go.

The first verse talks about probably life on the road. Each night you go somewhere, like a bar or something with a bunch of strangers, however you interact and mingle, putting on these conversations just for show, therefore having "deepest conversation full of lies" and acting like they are friends, even though it's temporary and you'll never see them again. Meanwhile he's trying to deal with it and enjoy it, but he "can't hold back" and has to reach out to his significant other, and say how much he misses her, wishing he could be home with her.

The chorus emphasizes wanting to be home because it's the only place of belonging.

The second verse talks about giving her a call, the "satellite" being the many modes of communication that exist today--telephone especially. They don't have a choice but keeping in touch by these means because he has to be away, and being "half a world a way" is the different time zones and distance in between.

Then the end talks about holding on till he can be home, because home and she is all he really has and what really matters.
