It confuses me like when he says he doesn't need the person to save him but then he says "and you're supposed to save me?" like he actually wanted them too.. Anyway basically i think this is about being with someone, or even having a friend that you want to be there for you even if they're not good for you "i guess i dont mind cause you always put me down". He sees that person isn't all that great like he thought, they lost their beautiful way. "But I never thought I'd see you on the ground
