I can say, having been divorced and now married to a Christian woman, that this song speaks very well of the conflicts we have with the people we love the most. The people we hurt the most. The people we would defend from others, but hurt ourselves. There are no enemies in front of you, is a call to remember the beautiful person you love, underneath all your sin against them. Throw down yourt weapons, there are no enemies in front of you.

Also, as with all relationship conflict, God teaches that if we have unresolved conflict, to resolve it before we come to Worship Him. We cannot hear Hallelujahs when we are so full of bitterness. We cannot rationalize it and be close to God. We can barely hear anything at all... but the thoughts of bitterness in our own minds.

But when we practice giving and receiving forgiveness it brings healing to our relationships, to ourselves, and to our relationship with the Forgiver Himself. He wants us reconciled to each other, and to Him.

Lay your weapons down There are no enemies in front of you

On a technical note- I love the intro going into Weapons. Set your audio program for cross-fading, and it will be fantastic.

Mark W I have loved Jars of Clay from the beginning. Though I have not been close to the band-mates personally, there music, when it entered my life in 1995 found a place in my heart. It communicates and understands some of my deepest feelings, and not all of them good or pleasant- but they have helped me through a lot. Frail (the original instrumental) is a song I have cried to in the car on the road) and Worlds Apart is the continual prayer of my life. This latest album is one of their best, and I am very glad I found it.
