Lyric discussion by tyranny_souls

"White man had the smoltz, black man had the blues."Damn that has got to be the best damn line in any song i've ever heard.Bon Scott was a lyrical genius, and i'm glad i'm not the only one on here that gets the Chuck Berry reference when he says "Tchakavski knew the news" from "Roll Over Bethoven."I seen a t-shirt that said "Before Elvis there was nothing" and credits John Lennon as saying it.As much as I love John Lennon if he were alive today I honestly think he would have two remarks to apologize for.The first of course being the "bigger than Jesus" comment.I say that because Elvis was an excellent musician, but when all is said and done all he did was take black music and make it safe for suburban white kids.I even think his "King of Rock and Roll" title is arguable with Chuck Berry influencing the entire genre. You could even go back to the blues legends like Muddy Waters and hear where EVERYTHING started.I don't know how historically accurate it is but go see "Cadillac Records" and you'll see what i'm talking about.Anyway, enough rambling, killer f'n song by a killer f'n band.Makes me miss Bon Scott just writing this.
