Lyric discussion by Artemis17

I'm surprised this has no comments, but I just wanted to add how perfect the song is. It's about the role of somebody whose forced occupation is to kill, not only deserving criminals but innocent children (see music video). It explores the hopelessness of the situation, and how barbaric and cruel a crowd can become - hence, "carnival of disgust." They make a spectacle of a horror, jeering and yelling and waiting for the murder to happen. Only the person forced to commit the crime sees the horrors, the mistake.

The lyrics aren't quite enough here to tell the story. You need to see the video...it's really well done, and fits perfectly with the mood of the music and lyrics. Plus, the lead singer is absolutely amazing.
