ok so i read all these comments just to see if anyone interpreted it the same as me so i know this is probably wrong butit may help some in the same situation as me ,
the day my brother left for iraq this song came on to me and to me it is an older soldier who has been there for awhile tlaking to a new soldier.

this is the new soldier in a new place all alone and he meets a bitter older soldier who he doesnt knwo whether to trust and how the soldier is explainin dont trust me or build a relationship because there is a good chance of me not making it to tomorrow.
