This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It has one of the best riffs ever (in my opinion), great guitar work, an awesome sound all around and the lyrics are just perfect to me.
Revisited's interpretation might be possible if they were talking about DUSK, not DAWN. The dawn of his life would be when he was born. If they said dusk his explanation might make sense.
Here's my interpretation. I've always viewed it as an innocent enough love song, not anything too complex or with some hidden meanings. Of course I don't delve too deep into song meanings so take it as you will.

The Sun is about to come up. Street lights, advertisement lights and such are turning off.

To give you my dawn surprise"
It's almost time to wake up and they can consciously be with each other. You can guess what the surprise might be.

They're about to wake up. Falling stars could be like a 'magical' moment.

He's been waiting to be with her so long, to have her love. This is the first time he's woken up with her, it's just them two and he felt it was finally real love.

All her love is focused on him.
