He doesn't like her anymore... or doesn't like his friend anymore, whichever you prefer (I just hate when people assume it's about a relationship with a girlfriend or whatever).
Not sure of the reason why, or can't think of anything from the song to get a reason why.
But then Alec throws in a twist -
