On my opinion this song is about a break up of a couple; "I hid the keys to unlock love's heart to hold you in my sweetest pain and suffering" After the break up he's locking himself from love. He doesn't want to love again. If there's love, then him sweetest pain and suffering will be released. It's probably because he had such a great time with her so even his pain and suffering became sweet. But instead of feeling this sweet pain and suffering he's locking them inside together with his love to her. "Everything's unfair in our lust and war"- Lust and war being put for the best and worst things at being in love- so in their love, nothing was fair- the good things or the bad things. "Redemption beyond right and wrong"- Redemption is working the same here- love considered nothing so redemption will consider nothing too- There might be no redemption- no coming back together.

"In our hearts, love keeps sweet-talking to despair and goes on sleepwalking past hope" He's feeling desperate because he's continuing to feel love for her. Love is taking advantage of it and is making him think there's no hope. Love is making him to sleepwalk past hope- he can't see there's hope just because he's so concentrated on loving her while they're not together. Basically, love and despair are bonding and causing him to lose hope. "all is lost in this war" Again, he's beginning to think that their amazing love was a war, and that everything is lost. "all we can do is to wail and weep to the saddest song sleepwalking past hope" So basically here he is certainly giving up, cause he's saying that now he can sing his song, cry, and still not notice there might still be hope.[How emo.]

"I unlit the light and embrace the dark"- I think light here is a sign for hope, and he's turning it off, embracing the dark, the despair. "To be near but not to turn into you my darling"- I have no idea what this might be… I mean.. it might be something like he's afraid to turn into her if he's with her too long. Maybe it's one of the reasons for the break up. "forever we're lost in our souls' storm"- again, maybe it's a reason for the break up- they are not getting along well. "reflections of each other's faults"- it could be what caused the break up, or maybe it could be what happed later- they began to fight and to tell each other only bad things about them.

"I gave up long ago" He's telling us that he has given up love, he sees no hope. "Painting love with crimson flow"- that's what he's giving up on- love was in his heart and crimson flow, referring to blood, was what filled it. He gave up on love existing in his heart. "ran out of blood and hope"- that's why he has given up- he ran out of blood so his heart's not working so there's no love in his heart. Obviously, it means that he also gave up on the hope for love. "so I paint you no more"- he's loving her no more. To sum up- his heart working with blood was loving. If he ran out of blood, he's not loving any more and he's giving up.

"My hell begins from the 10th and descends to the circle six hundred threescore and six" His hell right now is the worst there is. If there are only 9 circles, the 10th must be REALLY bad. And it descends to the 666 circle- he's like, you know.. almost inside the devil? The only thing I didn't realize here is why he is hell? Because he betrayed his darling? Because he's without her? Well, the point is that he's in hell, and from there he crawls just for one last kiss- doesn't matter how bad things are, he still loves her and he might still have hope? Well, doesn't matter, cause the last sentence in the song is "there's no hope", so even if he did crawl out of hell in order to kiss her, there's still no hope.
