Lets see, 1945 and the line "Down they fly From out of the sky Feel the radiation burn!" Then "The men of power had nothing to fear. When the finger hits the switch they're far away from here." Could be easily looked at as how the people who made the choice for the bomb to be dropped were not on the plane that dropped it, rather they were in a war bunker that was rather well protected from conventional bombs.

I dunno, it seems like they're talking of the Nagisaka bomb getting dropped in a bit of a metaphoric way.
