i think he is describing a lucid experience with herb. Often higher potency stuff can make things seem somewhat lucid. He is most likely describing an experience while listening to some of his favorite music. Most likely by fallen stars. And he is commenting on the healing power of their music with his depression. It should be noted the singer commited suicide. It really seems pretty clear he is either describing a high elatated experience involving music (something like rosetta stoned by tool but without the aliens) or just simply his love of music.

How do you sleep at night? Why make stuff up like that? Are you sick in the head? I bet you just feel a numb sensation in your head 24/7 that just does not seem to go away no matter what you do...those lucid experiences you talk about are probably your own excuses for how you think but, DO NOT make stuff up like dumb suicide comments about a guitar legend as great as Hughie Thomasson. If I was him, I'd haunt you if possible and knock some damn sense in your head. Moron!!!!!!!

What the hell man? Why would you even post something about a subject you clearly know NOTHING about? That's disrespectful. It makes it worse in this case that you're a moron because the Outlaws were one of the best bands of their time and Hughie Thomasson was without a doubt one of the best guitarists to ever touch the instrument, not to mention that two of the original members of this band did take their lives. RIP Billy Jones, Frank O'Keefe & Hughie Thomasson. High Tides Forever

some "doc" all these pysche doctors r just like this guy trying to explain what goes on in someone elses mind. U take what u want from a song and interpret it your own way. Hughie passed from this life unfortunately from a heart attack and was touring and singing right up to the end. I m sure the way he wanted to go. RIP HUGHIE!!!!!!
