I think these lyrics are supposed to be from a God perspective. It seems to talk about how people want God to be thought of. As a person/being that doesnt really care, and whos main desire is to influence people to kill other people. This influence is a bloodlust.
It makes me think of conflicts between Christians and Muslims.
"This demon, cannot be hushed, these cowards must be crushed"
It makes me think of Muslim extremists, who consider our Christian God, who is really the same as there God, a demon who cant be hushed. And then the cowards, or the Christians in this case, must all be crushed.
Or the line
"indefferent to the pain ive caused. This confession means nothing" makes me think of a really devout religious person who is still devoted to their faith even though events in there life could be blamed on God. "This Confession means nothing" sounds like God telling a person, "you killed a dude, i dont care if you confessed it to me!"
