I love this song, I'm a little surprised there's only one comment. But I guess it's an older The Fray song. So if you haven't heard it yet, I advise any fans to do so.
I interpret the song as this:
In the song, he describes a door which is extremely difficult to pass through. You're burdened with all these things that you 'need'. I think what we think we need is something to trust in. Some don't trust in anything and are able to get through the door. I don't think I understand the full picture of the song though. Is not being able to get through the door a good thing or bad thing?
I'd love to hear any other interpretations from others who've listened to the song.
