Lyric discussion by Speed Is Dreaming

This song would ring more true if less of Anti-Flag's audience were bourgeoise themselves. The message that these kids need to actually go do something about their ideals is great, but so much of this song is empty rhetoric that it hits you as a potential great song, but in its current form just weak and inchoate. I guess I'm biased because I'm bitter about the distractions this Anybody But Bush phenomenon and the anti-Iraq War movement in general are to the more benevolent and practical aspects of anarchist activism. I guess my main point in even writing this is that a war should not be necessary in order to incline us to "hit the strreets."
