I may be wrong, but I think this song is about a man who is always blamed for everything that happens at the town. He never puts up a fight, therefore losing his pride. Eventually it all builds up, and so he burns down the town. However in his madness he killed his family, so he then runs away into the mountains (or perhaps it was a mountain town??)
