Well first off i agree with the guy that says this song is about how Scogin is trying to find a girl himself but he's decided that he must let god show him the girl.

I think if you look at the lyrics from the first half of the song it's a bit easier to tell what he means.

it is all done wrong or so it appears it is all done right

*This is pretty obvious, he's reffering to our creation. At first he is talking about how people think our emotions our flaws of god. But by the: "or so it appears" lyric, he's rethinking this and deciding that maybe God knew all along how to mold out minds and bodies. Thus the lyric: "it is all done right"

i am pressing on no matter how it looks it is all planned out understatement

*Scogin's talking about his love life and how no matter how grim it might look to him, he's pressing on because it's all planned out by god. The word: "understatement" is used really well here, because he is sudgesting that even though he said it's all planned out by god, that is an understatement in comparison to what God can see in his future.

the next few lines are simply more musings of this topic and him saying that he doesn't care about our surroundings or emotions, that everything will end up the same way god intended it to, no matter what.
