Agree, it's got a great hypnotic yet upbeat tune. Also, I think she's singing "Hanging out when you're cold" not in. So as to imply that he's unfeeling when he's under influence. At least that's what I hear.

I never understood the meaning of this song.... until I went through what she was going through in this song...

She is having fun with a guy she likes, and could potentially fall in love with, by having nsa sex while getting stoned/drunk with him. He is the type of guy who obviously doesn't want a serious committed relationship because he's probably in the time of his life where he just wants to have fun. Although it may be all fun and full of lust at first, nothing will ever get as intense as being intimate with someone you're in love with. "If [he] won't let [her] fall for [him]" means if she isn't able feel anything else with him, then he will never see the love and passion she would have shared with him.
If she knows she can't take a step further with this guy, then "what's the point" of trying to seek a full connection and turning it into a real relationship. So she's hitting a dead-end road now and the excitement of their lust will eventually die. This is why she is starting to feel "bored of hanging out in [his] cold".
During the bridge, "And if you find, one day,
find some freedom and relief,
then with this freedom, baby,
maybe you will find some peace.
And with this peace, baby,
I hope it brings you home to me."
She says she hopes he will come to a place in his life where he is able to love someone and accept their love for him as well. She hopes that when he is ready to love again, he will think of her.
I never understood the "hanging out in your cold" but its always been one of my favorite songs and its so upbeat.
