despite having a fairly unoriginal riff, i still think this song is pretty awesome. it's one of my favorites, i'd say. as far as the meaning goes, i couldn't even begin to explain half of the lyrics, but i'm fairly certain that a soul on fire would be somebody who is in love. this, to me, is one of many HIM songs about the futility of either love or life.
