i agree with dougie352002, this shit is cryptic and very ambient. just taking a stab at it, i think the chorus sheds light on the core meaning of this song-
"First we are, ever to fall off of the earth..

Back in the day, everyone thought that the earth was flat and by Columbus attempting to sail around the world, he would "fall off the edge of the world". In a sense, Columbus was doing something dangerous and risky. i think the song is about being brave and taking a relationship into uncharted territory, or maybe trusting and loving so much that a couple reaches a new and unknown area of love. that by "falling off of the earth", is taking a plunge into the unknown with someone special.
