"Yesterdays" as written by and Del/arkeen James....
Yesterday, there was so many things
I was never told
Now that I'm startin' to learn
I feel I'm growin' old

'Cause yesterday's got nothin' for me
Old pictures that I'll always see
Time just fades the pages
In my book of memories

Prayers in my pocket
And no hand in destiny
I'll keep on movin' along
With no time to plant my feet

'Cause yesterday's got nothin' for me
Old pictures that I'll always see
Some things could be better
If we'd all just let them be

Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Got nothin' for me

Yesterday there were so many things
I was never shown
Suddenly this time I found
I'm on the streets and I'm all alone

Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Old pictures that I'll always see
I ain't got time to reminisce old novelties

Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday's got nothin' for me
Yesterday

Yesterday

General CommentDon't fret over the past, move on. Forget about yesterday and look to tomorrow.

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." -Hellen Keller

Don't let worrying about the past destroy your future.

General CommentThis song is about leaving the past behind...keep focused on the future, don't let your past haunt you.
This is a really nice song....I read somewhere that it is about Axl's troubled childhood.....

General CommentI love this song because it is simple but really nice. And Slash's solo is electrifying as usual. Like you guys have already mentioned, this song is about forgetting your troubled past as axl did. He was ragged in high school for living like a Rockstar. And I'd like to cortrect some people here. Axl did not do excess of dope, he was an alcohol addict.

General CommentIn the video to this song Steven Adler is shown in flashbacks more than anyone else
I think this song is sort of dedicated to him, basicly saying "You were a good friend but goodbye"

General CommentI find the 'book of memories' line hilarious. I can imagine Axl needing one after wrecking his own brain with drugs.

General CommentThis song is great. Like everybody else was saying, it is about leaving behind ... The live version on Yesterday Single is the greatest version of it..

General CommentThis song appeals to me so much. It helped me to forget about this girl I used to like but thankfully she is in my past. Excellent song.

General CommentAbout leaving the past behind and looking to the future. It could possibly have some shrouded meaning to Steve Adler, but I'm not too sure. Maybe I'm reading waaaaaaay too deep into it.
