Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
Black metal is the game I play
'cause no one show me the right way
I am a bloody Antichrist, only believe in bad
Spit at the church, Evil I get
Blasphemer. . . .
Rites of death, Return to Hell
I am Satan's child, attack you with Spell
I turn the cross upside down
and read Satanic Bible with fucking grown
my life begins at midnight twelve
masturbate to kill myself
Blasphemer. . . .
I love to drink my own blood
my sin is my life in a war with god
I talk to the demons night tonight
make love and black masses in a dark shadow light
Blasphemer. . . .
'cause no one show me the right way
I am a bloody Antichrist, only believe in bad
Spit at the church, Evil I get
Blasphemer. . . .
Rites of death, Return to Hell
I am Satan's child, attack you with Spell
I turn the cross upside down
and read Satanic Bible with fucking grown
my life begins at midnight twelve
masturbate to kill myself
Blasphemer. . . .
I love to drink my own blood
my sin is my life in a war with god
I talk to the demons night tonight
make love and black masses in a dark shadow light
Blasphemer. . . .

Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. Masturbate to kill myself!
I don't think the boys in Sodom had the best handle of English at the time. Kick ass early dark metal.
This song could be about many things. It could be a dude who chooses to live in complete sin and live a blaspheme life.
Or it could be about a witch, considering it says "I talk to demons night tonight, and make love and black masses in dark shadow light."
Or it could actually be about a demon who really is what the lyrics suggest, Satan's Child. It could be about an actual beast from Hell who lives an evil life.
That's the cool thing about some of Sodom's lyrics. Their lyrics can mean multi things.
Can somebody tell me what he means by "fucking grown"??????????? Did he just look at a rhyming dictionary for any word that ended with "o-w-n"?
@daveshouse1000 Yes, I just opened my rhyming dictionary and this was the first suggestion in there.
