"Go Mental" as written by and Jeffrey/cummings Hyman....
I've gone mental
I've gone mental

Out of the hospital
Out against my will
Life is so beautiful
I've gone mental
Mental mental

I've killed my family
They thought I was an oddity
Life is so beautiful I am a vegetable
Mental mental

I've gone mental
I've gone mental
Staring at my goldfish bowl
Popping phenobarbital
Life is so beautiful
I've gone mental
Mental mental

Sitting on my window sill
Life is so beautiful
I've become irrational
I've gone mental
Mental mental
I've gone mental

General Commentwoah. i love this song! and it's pretty obvious what it's about... realizing you've gone mental, but being okay with it, casue life is beautiful, even if you've become irrational.

General CommentThe Ramones wrote a few songs about mental illness. Check out "I Wanna Be Well" if it's on here. Otherwise, I'll have to write the lyrics out.

Song MeaningIt's pretty clear that this song is about getting wasted on barbs and seeing the crappy world around you turn beautiful. Gotta love Dee Dee lyrics!

General CommentMy favorite Ramones song of all time. Has been since the first time I hear it in 1980. This song is what hooked me on the Ramones. Being from NY and being a teen in the 70s I'd heard all about them, but was more of a Talking Heads guy.....until I heard this. Never looked back.
