"Parisienne Moonlight" as written by Daniel Cavanagh, Vincent Cavanagh, John James Douglas and David John Pybus....
I feel I know you
I don't know how
I don't know why

I see you feel for me
You cried with me
You would die for me

I know I need you
I want you
To be free of all the pain
You have inside

You cannot hide
I know you tried
To be who you couldn't be
You tried to see inside of me

And now i'm leaving you
I don't want to go
Away from you

Please try to understand
Take my hand
Be free of all the pain
You hold inside

You cannot hide
I know you tried
To feel...

General Commentthis is the answer to the man singing ONE LAST GOODBYE... i see both as two parts of one song... (my favorite anathema song) they're not coincidentally nr. 7 & 8 on JUDGEMENT...

what an album by the way!

General CommentThis song was also my first taste of Anathema. My ex boyfriend of 2 years introduced me to this and many other Anathema songs...they are now my fav band...I sit many nights in my apt soaking them in.

My InterpretationMakes me think of couples when one person has a mental illness and can't win with it, not enough to be a real loving partner, and despite mutual love the only solution is a healthy breakup. But it can be about any couple with similar scenario, when the pain is destroying the ability to love, and nobody is really guilty.
