So let's hit the streets tonight
And I'll show you where I lost my job
and where I got chased by cops
so we'll jump the fence at 13th and 10th
to see where we played our first show
I told you everybody loses sight of
All the how it's been and never was
So let's hit the streets tonight
And I'll show you where I drank on the job
and hung out In that parking lot
left at the light there's park 16th on the right
and that's the place that we called home
That place you'll never get a chance to know
and all the people through the years you could've known
it makes me wonder what your seeing is almost "home"

General CommentThis song is basically about how you can spend years hating the place you live in and that you want to get away, but in the end when you take a look around and everything you've seen, all the memories of days and nights passed makes this place home, and you hate to admit it but your attached to it in a way.

    General CommentAwww... sentimentality...
Less Than Jake seem to sing a lot of songs about walking don't they? There's this and One Last Cigarette and Look What Happened... no realy point in my mentioning this, I just like going for walks around the town where I live and I like Less Than Jake.

General Commentyou walk around the place you live and realize what a shit hole it is, but you realize you'll never leave, and if you do, you know you'll be back in a few years anyways

General CommentLess than jake is medicine for people who hate thier town, hate their friends, and hate the shitty situations they find themselves in (repeatedly) and i dont know anyone who cant identify with the lyrics and the memories of that place you got chased by the cops and where you drank on the job
