"Lamento Eroico" as written by and Luca/staropoli Turilli....
Langue in me l'eco infranto
Al truce sguardo dell'angelo cieco
Rovina in me l'antica rima
Nel cuor del cigno ferito e morente...

Cosmi di eternita' tradita
Di verita' svanite che ora versano
Lacrime d'addio in un vuoto nero...
Sincero e fiero al mio destino andro'...

URLA IL TUONO
AL MIO LAMENTO EROICO
SORTE...

Cosi' continuero'!

URLA IL TUONO
AL MIO LAMENTO EROICO
SORTE... CONSUMA LA REALTA'!

URLA IL TUONO
AL MIO LAMENTO EROICO
SORTE... CONSUMA LA REALTA'!

CONSUMA LA REALTA'!

SORTE... CONSUMA LA REALTA'!

    General CommentEnglish Translation

Languishes in me the broken echo
at the grim look of the blind angel
ruins in me the ancient rhyme
in the heart of the wounded, dying swan

    Worlds of betrayed eternity
Of vanished truth, that are now shedding
Tears of farewell into a black void
Proud and sincere, I'll go (to meet) my destiny

    [Chorus]
    The thunder cries
    my heroic lament,
    fate ... consume reality.

    Spirits of arcane worlds
I ask for life beyond death
    To align the friendly stars
And to become a celestial guardian

    Keeper of healed eternity
Of truth found for all children of mother earth
Always to her I have always given (my) life. (my) death.
    thus I will continue.

    [Chorus]
    The thunder cries
    my heroic lament,
    fate ... consume reality.

General CommentIndeed, this could very well be one of the best songs Rhapsody have ever come to make. Absolutely love how in sung in italian it gives the song more of an opera feeling.

As to what it could mean, well... as it's sang in one of the verses, 'my heroic lament', it could mean a similar kind of person as in ancient writings the likes of Odyssey, Beowulf etc., who sings a song to mourn some great loss. Of course, in this case I think the person in question could also sing in order to face the soon forthcoming death.
