"Missing You" as written by Paul Michael Barry, Graham John Stack and Steve Torch....
Hard days I'm traveling alone for too long
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you
I'm always somewhere that I never belong
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you

I'm moving so fast now it doesn't seem true
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you
I'm getting closer but I don't know what to
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you

Oh, if I had you beside me
Then I just might sleep through the night
Your love is the promise that guides me
All of the days of my life

This life I'm living's getting so hard to feel
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you
The days are empty and the nights are unreal
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you

Oh, if I had you beside me
Then I just might sleep through the night
Your love is the promise that guides me
All of the days of my life
All of the days of my life

Hard days I'm traveling alone for too long
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you
I'm always somewhere that I never belong
Ooh Ooh, I'm missing you
Oh, if I had you beside me
Then I just might sleep through the night
Your love is the promise that guides me
All of the days of my life
All of the days of my life
All of the days of my life

General CommentNobody else commented yet? Dan might be better known for his sweet ballads and this is one of his more hard-edged songs. But the passion and the story are still there. It surely is based on his real life as a touring musician, staying in hotel rooms all around the country (and the world) and missing the love of his life. (Maybe written for his wife? I'd like to think so.) Although the tone of the song is melancholy and plainative, it is actually positive underneath, since he tells her that her love is what guides and keeps him going. I like to think that at the end of the tour he goes home and there she is, waiting.
