oh there he goes again
high like a zeppelin
big eyes and under fed

she took him by the throat and said
i love you, sick boy, yeah
i love you, sick boy, yeah

his heart gets what it needs
from shooting antifreeze
laid out beside the bed

she took him by the throat and said
i love you, sick boy, yeah
i love you, sick boy, yeah

you are the real one
my s-i-c-k love
they begged me to avoid
my s-i-c-k boy

my s-i-c-k boy
my s-i-c-k boy
my s-i-c-k boy
my s-i-c-k boy
my s-i-c-k boy
my s-i-c-k boy
my s-i-c-k boy
my s-i-c-k boy

General Commentthis song has a really nice, demented feel to it, and kind of reminds me of the band "jack off jill", but that's not to say it's not a good song. while it tends to bore me a little, i still think it's a good song, although i'm more preconditioned to more rythmic stuff, this is good for those mellow times.

General CommentI like Jack Off Jill. And I truly like this song. Kill Hannah confuses me, though.

General CommentIt's about a boy who is a junkie (if you will), and the girl loves him even though he's all f-ed up.

Or so that's what I got out of it, heh. I'm stupid though so ehhhhhh...

General CommentI think I read something where they were talking about the "curse" of Kill Hannah, asking what it was, and they said part of it was how they lost band members, including their drummer, who died (?).
When I read that, I remembered an review someone did on them, mentioning the hardships the band has gone through...including losing a member to drug abuse.

I don't know if those are actual facts, but I kinda put two and two together and figured that one of their old drummers (I know there's still an ex-drummer around somewhere) died of an over dose, and I tend to think that Sick Boy is him.

It's probably a bunch of bullshit, but I think this song and A New Medicine are based a little on him....but, unlike Just A Tragedy, I probably AM stupid.

General CommentOk, let's just disregard that theory and pretend I never mentioned it.
Mat didn't even write A New Medicine.

General CommentI just got a feeling that it was about a guy that is completely hopeless, into drugs, kinda messed up, and she is a more dominant person, grabbing him by the throat and telling him she loves him, even though he is a sick boy (issues etc). it seems as if he is teling her she could do better so she grabs him and says but she loves him :S
It probably is more about the band or whatever, but that was what i thought before i read these threads.

General CommentI think that the girl in question doesn't want him to be doing all the drugs that he's doing.

By grabbing him by the throat and saying I love you, I always pictured it as her being harsh and firm with him and saying that she loves him and, therefore, doesn't want to lose him to drugs. She wants him to sober up because he's become too dependent and it's dangerous.

That's just what I always thought.
