"Paycheck" as written by and Brian Molko Robert Schultzberg....
Consumed by the one's who made her
She's a faker, always let's me down
Dressed up like a capital shaker
Full of ganja drugs are not put down

I'll have you're guts for garters
Just for starters
Don't you make me frown
She could've been a nutter
So I had to cut the mother down

Slacker, wasting half is life on sniffing glue
Now he's reformed, working for the red the
White and blue
Plain sailing, safe surfing
Pocket full of back stab

Confused by the one's who break her
She's a faker, never makes a sound
Undressed like a soul prayer
Buying shares, pay her by the pound

I'll have your face for breakfast
I'm in excess, neither lost nor found
She could've been a nutter
So I had to cut the mother down

Slacker, wasted half is life on speed
Now he's reformed and working for the red
The white and blue
Plain sailing, shoulder pad
Dental flossing, back stab

Pay - check, Pay - check

Save the best for later
Be careful not to stain the sheets now
You god damn liar
Take me higher

I never wanted the real thing, I never
Wanted the real thing
I never wanted the real thing, I never
Wanted the real thing

I never wanted the real thing, I never
Wanted the real thing
I never wanted the real thing

Slacker, wasted half is life on sniffing glue
Now he's reformed, working for the red the
White and blue
Plain sailing, wife swapping
Stool pigeon, back stab.

Pay - check, Pay - check

Save the best for later
Be careful not to stain the sheets now
You god damn liar
Pants on fire

Cold ???? two, four on me
But this one really takes the piss
It's likely to proquandry
I deserve so much more than this.

General CommentI have no idea why, but I get the feeling this song is about a guy who hires a prostitute; don't ask me why I came to this conclusion.

General CommentI agree, i think it's about straightlaced people becoming corrupt behind other's backs. Molko singing "I never wanted the real thing" makes me think the prostitution and character faking references are def in there. i think abuse of a relationship come sout in the line "save the best for later be careful not to stain the sheets now
you god damn liar"...that to me sounds like it's about throwing a prostitute out after a session. Paycheck comes up as paying for service.

General CommentI don't think it is about a prostitute, I think it is about a relationship where the two people are quite faux. They pretend to be "working for the red the white and blue" and "capital shaker" but they are behind the seens drug users and are so entangled by there love and lust that they don't want to leave or stay.

I think the last two lines are meant to be

    "it's likely to pro quandary
I deserve so much more than this."

as in it's gonna make them nonplussed and confused and they know they deserve more, but this is what they have.
