Do you ever think about me
Do you ever cry yourself to sleep
In the middle of the night when you awake
Are you calling out for me
Do you ever reminisce
I can't believe I'm acting like this
I know it's crazy
I still can feel your kiss

CHORUS:
It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours
Since you went away
I miss you so much
And I don't know what to say
I should be over you
I should know better
But it's just not the case
It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours
Since you went away

Do you ever ask about me
Do your friends still tell you what to do
Every time the phone rings
Do you wish it was me calling you
Do you still feel the same
Or has time put out the flame
I miss you
Is everything okay

CHORUS:
It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours
Since you went away
I miss you so much
And I don't know what to say
I should be over you
I should know better
But it's just not the case
It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours
Since you went away

It's hard enough just passing the time
When I can't seem to get off my mind
And where is the good in goodbye
In goodbye, goodbye

CHORUS:
It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours
Since you went away
I miss you so much
And I don't know what to say
I should be over you
I should know better
But it's just not the case
It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours
Since you went away

General Commentthis is such a great song. Haven't you guys ever regretted a break-up? This is just a cool song, it's soft, and he's got the voice to mesh well with the lyrics to the song.

General CommentI love this song soooo much, It just really justifies that you love and miss this person you're in love with so much, that you think about them every second of the day. It's pin-pointing "6months, 8days, 12hours"...that shows that you think about them all the time.

General CommentSometimes there are things in life that you can't change, but that doesn't change the fact that you still want to change them. I think that is what Brian Mcknight is trying to say in this song. He is regretting a break-up, but he knows that he can't go back to the way that things were. All he can do is sit around passing the time, counting the days until he stops missing her. How sad!
