"One Step Closer" as written by Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Chester Charles Bennington, Joseph Hahn and Robert G. Bourdon....
I cannot take this anymore
I'm saying everything I've said before
All these words they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Less I hear the less you'll say
But you'll find that out anyway
Just like before

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break

I find the answers aren't so clear
Wish I could find a way to disappear
All these thoughts they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again
Just like before

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to, break

Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up
Shut up when I'm talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up
Shut up, I'm about to break!

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to break
I need a little room to breathe
'Cause I'm one step closer to the edge
And I'm about to, break

General CommentI can totally relate to this song because, not once, but many times have a felt so close to the edge that I was about to just break down totally inside. This song has such a powerful message that you can't help but relate to it. Everyone has felt like they can't take it anymore sometimes and that's what this song is talkin about.

General CommentOh my God, I love this song! Not only does it have the hard-feel of Linkin Park along with their fast paced lyrics and excellent DJ effects, but it has a solid lyric set-up that I can strongly relate to. This is, in my opinion, thier best song on the "Hybrid Theory" and I give it a well-deserved 10/10. Linkin Park has a gift that not many bands possess, they have the gift of being so good that no matter how many times you hear them, they never get old.. Never!

General CommentI think it's about those times when someone is mad at you and keeps talking to you and the more you ask for a minute to calm yourself and reply, they just say more, and eventually you just break and lose it.("Shut up when I'm talking to you!")

General Commentmaybe he/she is so fed up with someone pushing and talking so he 'finds bliss in ignorance'. thats really powerful..

General CommentComming home from a soccer game tonight that had many a trash talkers in it, and many a people getting on my nerves and about to get their heads kicked in, I heard this song and it sparked the fire in me to go run a couple of them over. Sadly, I wasn't around them. Basically what I am saying is that, it is a powerful song that will put you in the modd to go kill someone if you are on the edge.
Don't over exaggerate though. Dead people aren't good for anything.

General CommentI can relate very well to this song... I get crap from mom tons of times, I just wish I could shout it in her face... jk! but it's a great song which explains how people feel when they are nagged by someone.

General Commentevery small minded person should listen to this song and then maybe they'll realize that this is how "the other people" feel, every body around me is the same, it's like a river of conformity, i hate it. no one understands me....JUST SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKIN' TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
