Ticking in time with the hand grenade
Its price, its charm
Ticking in time without a change
This chance it starts

From where I stand I could see it all,
Well I will, I won't
Make up my mind it's getting late
Well I do and I don't

It has something more to give
And it has everything to say.

The bleed of her heart and the bat of her eye
She wants be strong and she knows how to fight
She has to know the way I guess
She has to go that way I guess

Fist on her face she breaks the ground,
It's sharp, it's gray
She could've been anything
She could have had it all.

From where I stand I can make it out
Well I do, I don't
Make up my mind what I'm about
Well I will, I won't

It has something more to give
And it has everything to say.

The bleed of her heart and the bat of her eye
She wants be strong and she knows how to fight
She has to know the way I guess
She has to go that way I guess

The bleed of her heart and the bat of her eye
She wants be strong and she knows how to fight
She has to know the way I guess
She has to go that way I guess

Ticking in time with the hand grenade
Its price, its charm
Ticking in time without a change
This chance it starts

From where I stand I could see it all,
Well I will, I won't
Make up my mind it's getting late
Well I do and I don't

It has something more to give
And it has everything to say.

The bleed of her heart and the bat of her eye
She wants be strong and she knows how to fight
She has to know the way I guess
She has to go that way I guess

The bleed of her heart and the bat of her eye
She wants be strong and she knows how to fight
She has to know the way I guess
She has to go that way I guess

General CommentI think this song has a lot to do with a time continuum, and the indecisive nature of the speaker. The girl she is referring two is stable in nature, seamlessly counterbalancing the speaker's contradictions and sporadic train of thought.
