"The Wind" as written by and Yusuf / Islam....
The wind has taken you
You're free finally at peace
So still you lie
Leaving your cares behind

The pain is gone
Gone with the spirit in your eyes
Now you're wandering around
Above us
Looking downward as we cry

You've flown into the wind
Escaping all the hurt within
Took to the sky
Leaving all the world behind

So young to die
How could you let it all pass you by?

And do the wind go so many dreams
That you held inside
Now you're just a memory
Burning in my mind, my mind

So young to die
How could you let life pass you by
And now you'll never know I loved you
And now you'll never know I cared

I really loved you
And now you'll never know

You'll only fade
Into the wind

General CommentWhen I first got "emotions" i never really listened to this song. I usually had the first track on number 1 on repeat. XD What can I say? I was 8. A couple of years down the road, I can say that I'm glad I finally listened to this song, and wished that I had earlier. It's a great song. I love her vocals on it.

General CommentI love this song. It's actually very sad. Yet it is very beautiful and mysterious. Yeah when I was young, I never really paid much attention to it. Now, I love and appreciate it so much. I love the feeling it gives me when I listen to it - kind of melancholic, dreamy etc. i love it. She is just so talented, I love mariah so much.
