Take a good look at it
Look at it now
Might be the last time you'll
Have a go round
I'll let you touch it if you'd
Like to go down
I'll let you go further
If you take the southern route
Don't go too fast
Don't go too slow
You've got to let your body flow
I like 'em attentive
And I like 'em in control

Baby it's yours
All yours
If you want it tonight
I'll give you the red light special
All through the night
Baby it's yours
All yours
If you want it tonight
Just come through my door
Take off my clothes
And turn on the red light

I know that you want me I can
See it in your eyes
You might as well be honest 'cause the
Body never lies
Tell me your secrets and I'll
I'll tell you mine
I'm feelin' quite sexy
And I want you for tonight
If I move too fast just let me know
'Cause it means you move too slow
I like some excitement
And I like a man that goes

Baby it's yours
All yours
If you want it tonight
I'll give you the red light special
All through the night
Baby it's yours
All yours
If you want it tonight
Just come through my door
Take off my clothes
And turn on the red light

If you want me
Let me know it
I'll make time but
You've got to show it
If you need me
I want to see
But don't mistake me
I don't want you down on your knees
I need someone a real man
I need someone who understands
I'm a woman a real woman
I know just what I want
I know just who I am

Baby it's yours
All yours
If you want it tonight
I'll give you the red light special
All through the night
Baby it's yours
All yours
If you want it tonight
Just come through my door
Take off my clothes
And turn on the red light

Baby it's yours
All yours
If you want it tonight
Red light special
All through the night

rar. how very sexy. this is a woman who knows what she wants in a lover. very empowering. she feels a man should feel privileged to be her lover.

definitely one of the sexiest songs of all time. however, it would be much more alluring if i didn't know kenny edmonds wrote it. he has the sole writing credit, so i'm guessing that means no woman contributed to these lyrics which any guy would love to hear sung to him at 2 a.m. on a friday night. regardless, this song is steaming.

it kinda sounds like an ernie isley guitar solo. that's what i came here to do: comment on this song's sexiness, express remorse that it actually wasn't written by a woman, and find out if ernie isley played the guitar on this one. but it doesn't seem like anyone has discussed the guitar solo...which is pretty sexy too!

the guitar solo was written and composed by guns and roses guitarist Slash. I cant believe he did that, just seems like its not his style but I think it adds so much spice to the song. Babyface writes the best songs so I dont know why people are bashing him

By the way, knowing what a "red light special" is, it's kind of creepy that a guy wrote this song. lmao

I guess the song, to me, never felt like it came from a woman's point of view. I'm listening to it now, but finding out that Baby composed it (of course) and that people have issues with it... I'll have to give it another listen. OKAYE... so the verses are what she's saying to her man && the chorus is what she wants to hear from him. She wants to him to be in control and she wants to hear him say: "I'll give you the RLS"

&& Slash on the guitar??? YESSSS!! ♥

Another great female power song. It’s always refreshing to see a woman take charge and make her wants and desires number 1 while showing her lover what she likes and maybe he can try it on the next woman…by teaching men how to handle a woman, she’s really teaching women how to make her wants and needs just as or even more important than the man’s.

I hate to say it but a red light special is when you go down on a girl when she's on her period.... yea i know...

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Head > Heels

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
