Bright and burning blue
Stretch your arms out above me
I know that you still love me like you did
Copper brown and orange red
Burn the words that I never said
I'm swallowin the pill

If you see me grinning it's a disguise if you see me grinning don't trust my lies when the ink dries we'll have another masterpiece when the drink dies we'll have another restless sleep

The smell is so thick, that i can taste it
Stains so bad I"ll never erase it
stains so that I"ll never erase it
Try try again and again it falls flat
Falls rolling in and I can't find my hat, I can't find my hat

A magic dream haver, an abracadaver
use your mind over matter till there's nothing the matter at all

These columns are camly calming me down
The white stripe of light from the sky to the ground
It's the biggest most obvious red flag
When it's wavin away in the wind

And nobody sees the birds or the trees only the dust and the fire within

General CommentThis song is about a guy who cares for a girl enough to tell him not to trust him.

General CommentI like this song a lot. I think "try try again and again it falls flat... and I can't find my hat" either is a reference to Catcher In The Rye's Holden Caulfield and his red hat (the hat symbolized his wanting to be an individual) or since people wear hats when it's cold out, it could mean he's not prepared.

General CommentI love this song. It has about the best beginning ever, I still get goose bumps when I hear it...

"If you see me grinning it's a disguise if you see me grinning don't trust my lies when the ink dries we'll have another masterpiece when the drink dies we'll have another restless sleep"

This part has one of the best rhymings on the CD. I love this band. Yeah, I admit, Brendan is to me what Hitler is to Arnold Schwarzenegger... a fucking Idol

    General Commenthaha, instead of:
"These columns are camly calming me down"
    I thought he sang:
"There's Gollum and Gimli calming me down"
