Here is a song without a name
It comes to heal your pain
It comes with nothing else but love
No girls are dancing at my feet
No suits are here to meet
The phone is ringing but I'm gone

You take me higher than anything has before
You take me higher than anything has before

I waited hours for this
And now I watch it fade
This moment that we share
Will always slip away
I need to run away
From you, from me

You take me higher than anything has before
You take me higher than anything has before

There's no walls between us now
Except the ones we bring
To hide the grace that we
Do not want to see
We waited hours for this
Now we watch it fade
This moment that we share
Will always, always slip away

You take me higher than anything has before
You take me higher than anything has before

General CommentI think this song is simply just about starting off in the music biz and making it, then realizing its not as great as you thought it would be.

General CommentThis song perfectly describes the many times my love and I tried to say "I love you" but couldn't. We wwould just stare at eachother for hours, too scared to take the step, and too confused by the other to read anything right. We finally made it though, once we learned to trust in the fact that we always seem to be thinking the same thing. " I woke up LA" has the same sort of feel to it.

General CommentI'm almost positive this song deals with the rush of performing a concert. Jon is describing his fans when he says "no girls are dancing at my feet/no suits are here to meet", implying that there's a mutual respect between artist and fan. "You take me higher than anything has before" also implies his love for the fans and the rush that they create for him. That's why he's been waiting "hours for this". He also reiterates that the moment will always slip away, which seems to imply that it should be much cherished and enjoyed at every moment. So in essence, I think this song is a nice tribute to his fans and the act of performing for them.

General CommentThe song without a name is an intens emotional state, something that can't be described by words.

"No girls are dancing at my feet, no suits are here to meet."
This is no superficial state, no pretty dancing girls to lure you into it, not empty suits that try to live up to some stereotype, this is real.

Perhaps it is a deep connection betwen two person, like the first realisation that this is the love of your life. It takes you higher then you've ever been before.

Sadly, this connection aren't lasting. He is losing the grip of it, he doesn't understand what makes it happen and thus can't make this ideal state last.

In this ideal state or connection, there are no walls, no societal expectations that matter, it is just you and that other person. You are in command of what walls you'll put up, but those will only hide the grace, the perfectness of this spiritual connection.

But the connection are fading, it will always slip away.
