Take me to the places
You keep secret
Into a land of fur and diamonds
In my mind

There's a girl I'd like to love
And there's some things I'd like to say
To who is gonna hear

The gates of rock-n-roll
Will never close on me
The gates of rock-n-roll
Will never close on me

Take me to your mansions
Way beyond the gates
I will do anything to get there
You know I will

There's a man I'd like to be
And there's some things I'd like to say
To who is gonna hear

The gates of rock-n-roll
Will never close on me
The gates of rock-n-roll
Will never close on me

General CommentTo me this is just about pursueing the dream of succeding in the music buisness. The luxuries he will have, the fans who listen to his every word. Rock-n-roll will never give up on him as long as he doesnt give up himself.

General CommentI see it as expressing music to never give up you, even when the rest of the world does.
Like, rock n roll will always except me and be there for me, even when the fruitless peices of society fade away.

General CommentI'm reading it as... quite literally, there's a girl that he wants, but it might not work out. Doesn't necessarily mean it won't, but you know how things are sometimes. But music will always be there for him, it's certain, and he can always convey a message through his music. It's like he's hoping she won't close her own gate on him, but the gate of music won't no matter what... However, doesn't make me right about it.
