"The Kiss Of Judas" as written by Timo Kotipelto and Timo Tapio Tolkki....
I hear footsteps closing in
I recognize them from my early days
The times are different the image remains the same
Repeating backflashes remembering the name

Approaching visions of things I can't recall
A familiar smile awakes the pain
Unkept promises
The night awaits

The act of confidence
The kiss of Judas
I feel the lips on my cheek
The kiss of Judas

Haunts me once again
In your private chamber you're all alone
The well earned silver pieces falling to the floor
The flame of the candle casting movement to the wall

Your eyes filled with guilt keep staring at the door
Approaching visions of things I can´t recall
A familiar smile awakes the pain
Unkept promises

The night awaits
The act of confidence
The kiss of Judas
I feel the lips on my cheek

The kiss of Judas
Haunts me once again

General CommentJesus Christ not only lived on this earth, but He is the one and only true God. The only way into heaven is by accepting Christ's sacrifice.

This song is about how Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss. This kiss was the signal for the Roman soldiers to capture Jesus and later the Jews crucified him. Jesus Christ died for mankind's sins so that they would not have to burn in hell forever. His sacrifice for us still applies today and if we accept it, then we will recieve eternal life.

General CommentThis is a song about the Bible story where Judas sold Jesus as a slave for 30 silver pieces. The night before that happened, Judas kissed Jesus on the cheek.

General CommentHe didn't sell Jesus as a slave you ignorant dumbass. Judas was paid to betray Jesus so the Jews could arrest Jesus and condemn him since they hated him. Well, at least you got the kissing part right.

General CommentNow now Magnum, the Passion of the Christ play was written over a thousand years before Jesus was supposidly killed in an attempt to make the people hate the Jews. We dont know what really happened back then. We dont even know if Jesus was a real person.

General Comment"The kiss of Judas I feel the lips on my cheek
The kiss of Judas hold me once again"

It seems to me is Jesus who's talking.

"your eyes filled with guilt keep staring at the door."

In some way he talks about Judas and how he is all consumed by guilt, and commits suicide.

"The well earned silver pieces falling to the floor"

The Bible says that Judas was regretful, so he went to return the coins to the priests, but they didn't care. So he threw the coins, that fell on the temple's floor.
And then he went to kill himself.

General CommentI respectly disagree with you all guys. I don't know about your countries, but in mine, we say "Judas" to someone who is actually betraying you but when you are around he or she acts kindly to you. Therefore when "Judas" is greeting you, you say "The Kiss of Judas" (In may nation we use to greet girls with a kiss on one cheek). To me the song does not refer to the biblic Judas, instead it's about a boy or girl who's remembering or trying to something on his/her past, kind of sexual or violent abuse from his/her parents. Let me explain my point: The footsteps coming, from my early days.. back on his/her childhood; "Approaching vision of things I can't recall" Come on! Jesus can't recall when Judas betrayed him? it must be the already grown up child having a vague idea about what happened. The silver coins and candles are not very situable to my explanation but are not definitive tips or keys to say it was about the real Jesus. What do you say guys? I've posted to show my point of view, ket me have your responses
