Fate settles in and I'm struggling to keep my head levelled out
I compare to where I've been but I swear this is by far the worst
You're so damn good at those sick little games
And I'll be just fine if I remember to just breathe
I watched you turn away, it was so unbecoming
Tell me to my face that you never really loved me
You never really loved me
You don't even care if I'm still breathing
(Breathing)
Without lungs inside my chest to hold my last breath
Gotta say what I have to say, I need it
Wouldn't give me the time of day, I guess that's the price I pay
I stand on the edge of a perfect nightmare
Trapped within this dying affair
Your cowardice has set me straight
What I question before is no longer vague
I'll keep running this shit, watch me stand
Above all else I was still afraid
I watched you turn away, it was so unbecoming
Tell me to my face that you never really loved me
You never really loved me
Now I find it's hard to just keep breathing
(Breathing)
Without lungs inside my chest to hold my last breath
Gotta say what I have to say, I need it
(Need it)
Wouldn't give me the time of day
Can't stand the sight of my face
I wish I could scream, but my lungs have been
Turning blue and frozen to the touch
And I would speak, if I could breathe
The only way of feeling is to see
You in my dreams, when I'm asleep
I'll never be the same person again
How could you be so cold to me
And turn away as if I wasn't real
I will stand, I can breathe again
Just breathe, breathe for me
It's not as bad as your heart makes it seem
Just breathe, breathe for me
It's not as bad as your heart makes it seem
Just breathe, breathe for me
It's not as bad as your heart makes it seem
Just breathe, breathe for me
It's not as bad as your heart makes it seem
It's not as bad as your heart makes it seem

this song describes how I feel right now..even though the break-up was "mutual"..I really wanted to just hold on..I kinda just agreed on it. Even though it was for the best I guess...

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
