Some days
I feel completely useless
Sometimes
I need to get away
Today
I think I'm gonna break down
Because
Because you walked away

I'll never see you again
Good ridance
Loneliness is my new friend
I'll never feel your touch again
Too bad
Too bad this had to end

All that I have
Washed down the drain
All that I had
Memories of pain
All that I want
Not to love in vain
All that I feel
Cold acid rain

There are times
I think of you
And all the shit that
You put me through
Sometimes I think that
It's for the best
Who am I fooling
I'm so depressed

This time it's for real
No making up
It's really over
Don't act like you give a fuck

All that I have
Washed down the drain
All that I had
Memories of pain
All that I want
Not to love in vain
All that I feel
Cold acid rain

All that I have
Doesn't seem to matter
All that I had
Is all that I needed
All that I have
Seems to just shatter
All that I had
It's all been cheated
Stolen from me
Stolen from me

All that I have
Washed down the drain
All that I had
Memories of pain
All that I want
Not to love in vain
All that I feel
Cold acid rain

I can remember better days
I can remember better days
What went wrong
Now they're gone
Fading into nothing
I can't remember better days
I can't remember better days
When everything was perfect
Now you make me so sick
I've faded into nothing
I'm gone

Wow, crap this is good. This is the second song that I've viewed. I must say that I am really impressed. These are really great lyrics. Very identifiable. A simple concept, yet the message is conveyed so well. There are times I think of you And all the shit that You put me through Sometimes I think that It's for the best Who am I fooling I'm so depressed...I couldn't of said it better.

"All that I have Doesn't seem to matter All that I had Is all that I needed All that I have Seems to just shatter All that I had It's all been cheated Stolen from me Stolen from me"

    brilliant.

however, there are some parts ("I'll never see you again// Good ridance //Loneliness is my new friend// I'll never feel your touch again// Too bad//Too bad this had to end") the rhyming seems a bit desperate...

But most parts fit together really well.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
