"Don't Close Your Eyes" as written by Donald Kevin Purnell, Robert Sidney Jr. Halligan and John Palumbo....
What's you're doing out in the night time
Won't you call me on the phone
Your mama can't solve your problem
When's daddy ever get home

So you think you're a little bit wild
In the middle of the suicide

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Don't sing your last lullaby

No one there to hold you
No one is your friend
No one hears you scream
You live life up and down now
Nightmares on your brain

Another lonely way of hanging round
Don't you take it falling down no no

Hold on hold on tight
I'll make everything all right
Wake up don't go asleep
I'll pray the lord
Your soul to keep

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Don't sing your last lullaby

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Don't sing your last lullaby

General CommentI was criminally confined by a psycho in 1999 for about 7 months, who tried to kill me but I got away. He played this song for me several times. True story!

General Comment"As I lay down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take"

She is still alive, just in need of friendship and prayers that she can see that life is worth living

General CommentIt's about a guy trying to talk a girl out of killing herself. It should be depressing in theory, but it's actually a very powerful and uplifting song.

My InterpretationSo the main character definitely dies while on the phone with other main character right?
Hold on - Hold on tight
    I'll make everything all right
    - Steve (or whoever the main character is) is getting ready to leave and help the girl on the phone out

Wake up - Don't go to sleep
    - Doesn't hear anything back, tries to get a response (loud WAKE UP) pleads her not to go to sleep

I pray the lord your soul to keep
    - Realizes she's gone he recites that old prayer

    Yay party music!
